About Rapid

Serving Kent's trade & DIY customers for nearly 50 years

Rapid Plant & Tool Hire Ltd was established in 1978 and is a family-owned, independent business. We've been Sittingbourne's longest-running plant and tool hire specialist ever since — and we're still here, still local, and still run by people who know their equipment.

We stock real equipment, offer straightforward advice and hire to everyone from major contractors to homeowners who need a floor sander for the weekend.

For trade & contractors

We work with groundworkers, landscapers, builders and civil engineering contractors across Kent. Plant hire, site equipment, flexible hire terms and trade accounts available for regular customers. Just give us a call and we'll sort it.

For home & DIY

From floor sanders and garden chippers to wacker plates and pressure washers — if you need a tool for a home project, we almost certainly have it. And if you're not sure which one to hire, just give us a ring. That's what we're here for.

Local delivery across Sittingbourne & Kent

We deliver plant and equipment to sites across Sittingbourne and the wider Kent area — including Faversham, Sheerness, Maidstone, Canterbury and Chatham. Call to confirm your location and arrange a time.
